Harley-Davidson Ultra Limited: wiring, Tour-Pak, and custom equipment documented together.
This orange Ultra Limited arrived with more than one repair story. The photo record shows cut harness bundles near the battery area, damage along the Tour-Pak edge and hardware, and installed Vance & Hines exhaust equipment that belongs in the motorcycle’s identity and value record.
Why electrical damage changes the entire estimate.
A cut motorcycle harness is not a single-wire repair line. Touring models distribute power, communication, audio, lighting, security, charging, and control circuits through bundled routing under bodywork and around the battery compartment. The photographs show multiple severed bundles rather than an isolated loose connector. That changes the repair-side questions: which harness assemblies are affected, whether branches can be serviced under the applicable procedure, what modules and fuses need testing, how routing and strain relief will be restored, and what must be verified before the motorcycle is considered functionally complete.
Map every severed branch
Vision documented conductor bundles, protective sheathing, connector locations, battery-area routing, and nearby components. The objective is to understand the complete affected network before parts or labor are committed.
Record edges and attachment points
The Tour-Pak edge, latch or anchor areas, liners, trim, and adjacent painted surfaces need their own photographs. Small breaks at a mounting edge can affect fit and water management even when the outer panel remains mostly presentable.
Do not estimate a stock motorcycle
The Vance & Hines exhaust is visible in the project record. Installed upgrades should be identified with brand and condition when possible because replacement strategy and owner documentation can differ from stock equipment.
Test after physical scope is known
Electrical testing is most meaningful after cut circuits, battery condition, grounds, fuses, connectors, and routing are accounted for. Powering an incomplete harness without a controlled plan can create misleading symptoms or additional risk.
Use parts, labor, and verification lines
The repair plan may require harness assemblies or approved service operations, access and reassembly labor, body components, finish operations, consumables, programming or initialization, and final functional checks. Each category should be visible in the file.
Show what is known and what is pending
The images prove the observed condition. They do not by themselves prove the cause, coverage, or final repair method. Vision keeps those boundaries explicit so the owner and claim reviewer can see what still requires a decision.

What this record does not claim
The photographs support condition documentation, repair planning, and a conversation about estimate completeness. They do not establish how the damage occurred, what an insurer must cover, whether the motorcycle is a total loss, or that the pictured motorcycle has completed repairs. Vision Performance provides repair-side facts; coverage and settlement decisions remain with the policy parties.
